Despite the heat, I was able to work on and complete a new work this week. Yeah! It's a composition that I had been pondering for a while, so it feels good to have finally executed it.
Each day or so I added a new detail and took pictures documenting how it changed over the week. It's kind of fun watching a piece transform. The inspiration for this painting is taken from John 12:3, "Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus' feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume."
